The 5th Presentation Ceremony of the “ERB Manpower developer Award Scheme” was held on 23 April 2014. It is our pleasure to inform that Apple Storage has been awarded “Manpower Developers (MDs) – SME” in this year.

About Manpower Developer Award Scheme

With a view to instilling a corporate culture advocating the importance of manpower training and development, the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) launched the “ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme” (the Scheme) in December 2009 to recognise organisations which demonstrate outstanding achievements in manpower training and development as Manpower Developers (MDs).

The Scheme is held annually with an aim to cultivate a common social value to attach great importance to manpower training and development. Participating organisations can review and evaluate the effectiveness of their strategies and practices in manpower training and development in accordance with a set of objective and stringent assessment criteria established by the independent Technical Consultant. Organisations that fulfill the criteria will be acknowledged as MDs within a 2-year validity period, subject to renewal every 2 years.

A total of 289 public and private organisations (47 of which are SMEs) from over 30 industries have been accredited as MDs since the launch of the Scheme in 2009.

Through the Scheme, the ERB has created a diversified, multi-facet and sustainable interactive platform for MDs. The ERB has rolled out different follow-up activities including the Grand Prize Award, MD Resources Hub, topical survey, thematic seminars, sharing sessions, company visit and circulation of the “MD Magazine”, etc. The ERB will continue to foster its strategic partnership with the MDs for the enhancement of the quality of human resources in Hong Kong.
